Davis Selected Advisers is currently seeking a Controller. This position will work with all levels of staff and management. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

The primary job responsibilities for this Controller position include:

• Oversee daily operations of accounting and finance department.
• Oversee corporate accounting staff.
• Maintain and monitor accounting policies, procedures and controls, take corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Review monthly general ledger, closing entries, trial balance, and reporting.
• Review cash disbursements from Accounts Payable.
• Review and prepare schedules for internal and external annual audits.
• Review journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare annual consolidated and stand-alone financial statements for Limited Partnership, S Corp, and LLC according to GAAP.
• Forecast operational cash requirements and assist in securing credit as necessary.
• Inter-company transaction postings.
• Ad-hoc reporting, as assigned.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA Preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level accounting role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with financial report writing and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in using accounting software.
• Solid understanding of technical accounting standards (GAAP).
• Motivated to learn and master several accounting responsibilities with the flexibility to alternate between tasks.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
