Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compelling content for written copy and/or websites and other online communications media. Being an Editor ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Additionally, Editor may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Editor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     The Video Content Coordinator is responsible for supporting PURSUIT by helping manage and execute video projects delegated from the Office of the Lead Pastor and Marketing Director.
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Helping create and manage video production projects and assisting with the event capture team.
    • Creating promotional video material for events and or Ministries.
    • Creating, editing and delegating some video assets for social media, Sunday video announcements, and sermon series bumper material.
    • Helping manage and delegate roles for film projects, and weekly asset creation.
    • Maintaining, organizing all cameras, inventory, and budget requests for the Video Team.
    • Filming, editing, and completing projects assigned by the Project Manager and Marketing Director.
    • Assist in the ongoing development of PURSUIT’s Documentary.
    • Keeping all video assets organized and easily accessible to the PURSUIT’s server.
    • Assist the Design Team as needed with motion graphics or backgrounds.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends.
    • Attend all staff meetings and required events.
    • All other tasks assigned. 
     
    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Be committed to the local church and the executive leadership.
    • Model a passionate pursuit of the presence of God.
    • Be able to pass both local and federal background checks.
    • Follow all PURSUIT policies and procedures. 
    • Must be proficient in Adobe Suite: Premiere Pro and After Effects.
    • Familiar with Blackmagic cameras, Canon lenses, and other professional equipment.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Managerial / administrative experience preferred. 
    • High-school diploma
    • Professional-level skills and experience with people and creative processes.
    • Organizational and written skills. 
    • Entrepreneurial abilities, from big picture strategy to operational details. 
    • Ability to lead staff, recruit, develop, and inspire people, set clear expectations and accountability.
