Editor reviews, edits, and re-writes a variety of documents and/or digital content. Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compelling content for written copy and/or websites and other online communications media. Being an Editor ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Additionally, Editor may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Editor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Summary:
AS THE DOCUMENTATION EDITOR, you will operate word processor or a computer program to review and correct dictation for all physicians and physicians offices.Other information:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in medical field preferred
- Certified (or eligible to be certified) as a medical transcriptionist preferred
- One year prior experience working in the medical field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and applicable understanding of human anatomy and physiology required.
- Grammar and Language skills required
- Advanced computer skills needed
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite Required
- The ability to transcribe all types of medical dictation with speed and accuracy will also be required.
