Being an Editor, Sr. ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Additionally, Editor, Sr. may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. May provide guidance to lower-level staff. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Editor, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsibilities:
- Shoot and record video footage for a variety of projects, including events, interviews, and promotional content
- Edit video content using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and other editing software
- Enhance videos with motion graphics, visual effects, and sound design
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts and storyboards for video projects
- Ensure all videos are delivered on time and meet the required specifications
- Maintain and organize video files and assets
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in videography and video editing
Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and other video editing software
- Strong understanding of film principles and storytelling techniques
- Experience with post-production processes such as color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects
- Knowledge of motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects is a plus
- Familiarity with photography principles and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the creative team
