Education Director provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Education Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Education Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. For the right person, the Development Director position represents an opportunity to join the team and build out an already successful development program, creating lasting relationships and fostering continued growth and enthusiasm for environmental education in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region.
The Development Director role requires a relationship-oriented and community-minded person who is both driven and strategic. This position works closely with the Executive Director and plays an important part of Prescott Farm’s leadership team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm for and personal commitment to environmental education and/or stewardship and community building and will be comfortable conveying that enthusiasm one-on-one and in larger group settings. Real world fund development experience and an understanding of the principles of fundraising are also important characteristics for success.
