Education Director provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Education Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Education Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Education Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Description
    Minnesota North College – Hibbing Campus is seeking a to fill the permanent, part-time (.75% FTE) position of Foundation Director (MnSCU Academic Professional 1).
    The Foundation Director position is responsible for managing and supporting the organization and operation of the Hibbing College Foundation. The Foundation Director will also assist with various aspects of financial aid, such as scholarships, reporting, making awards, and providing customer service support to students and their families.

    Required Qualifications
    • 3 years’ experience in directing or managing grants, managing scholarship funding, or related experience.
    • Ability to self-direct with limited supervision.
    • Highly proficient on use of electronic computer programs: word processing, spreadsheets, use of internet, publishing and social media.
    • Mathematical skills to calculate information used in financial aid and grant budgeting.
    • Knowledgeable of business and financial principles / regulations.
    • Able to foster team building and cooperation with Foundation Board members, Faculty and Staff and the community.
    • Excellent oral and written communications to be able to interact with students, parents, staff members, lending institutions and foundation board.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Knowledge of reporting requirements of a non-profit organization.
    • Knowledge of financial aid rules and regulations.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to diverse cultures and student populations.
