This is a unique opportunity to use your skills and experience in creating and managing member education programs and classes, and membership events, along with your outstanding customer service skills, your genuine interest in and ability to connect with people, and your keen attention to detail in maintaining membership records in our associations' databases.
You'll "onboard" new members - giving them all the benefits and features they gain by joining our Associations, and explaining what their responsibilities are. Customer service skills are required in a big way for the interactions with members, at all levels. You'll maintain accurate records in our databases and follow up with new members on their membership requirements. In this role you will be the "face of the association", so strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact in a firm but collaborative fashion are required.
You'll serve as staff liaison to the Professional Development (Education), Member Services, and Events Committees in the three professional trade associations we manage. As Director of the Education department, you will plan, organize and manage the seminars, workshops, and other educational opportunities you and the Committee create to meet our members' educational needs. This involves budgeting skills, creativity, organization and intense detail management.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing first-class events for each association. A fanatical obsession with detail is critical in event planning, and experience is required. Events will include membership meetings, award banquets, special occasion events, etc. Infrequent travel to our other three associations under management may be required.
Experience is required for success in this multi-faceted opportunity. It is not an entry-level position. If you have experience in membership organizations, professional development for adults, and event management, we absolutely want to meet you. If you have experience in any of those areas we likely want to meet you, please apply.
A cover letter explaining your experience and interest is required in order for your application to be considered. Please include it with your resume on Indeed.com
