Education Director jobs in San Antonio, TX

Education Director provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Education Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Education Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Education Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Who We’re Looking For

     

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated full-time Director of Admissions to join our team at our Live Oak, Texas location. We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce! Our ideal candidate will have related experience in the career technical or vocational training space, experience developing methods to increase student enrollments and student retention, and the ability to lead and coach a high-energy team.

     

    The Director of Admissions’ duties and responsibilities include:

    • Leading coordination and integration of efforts among the admissions department to produce smooth workflow and improve cost-effective business processes.
    • Overseeing and managing the admissions department.
    • Consistently strategizing methods to increase student enrollments and student retention with the executive management team.
    • Providing ongoing guidance, support, and coaching for the Student Support Services Supervisor and Student Support Services Coordinators.
    • Actively monitor student support services calls and provide applicable coaching as necessary.
    • Participating in the hiring and training of the admissions team.
    • Communicating and explaining new directives, policies, or procedures to the admissions team.
    • Planning, directing, implementing, controlling, monitoring, forecasting, and evaluating departmental processes and goals.
    • Performing other duties as assigned by the CAO and COO

     

    This role requires the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an admissions leadership role.
    • Demonstrated experience with building relationships with prospective clientele and partners in the education space.
    • Demonstrated experience leading teams to reach desired outcomes.
    • Experience leading complex projects that require working with applicable departments and cross-functional business partners.
    • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining improved processes.
    • Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen when working with partners and clients.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-motivated and works well with limited direction.
    • Organized with the ability to follow up on and manage details.
