    Global Medical Education Manager

    The Global Medical Education Manager plays a key role in planning, developing, and implementing educational programs for healthcare professionals and internal training, ensuring that they are well-informed about the latest medical advancements and pharmaceutical products supporting priority disease areas. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute high-quality educational initiatives that align with strategic goals.

    In this role you will

    Medical Education Content:

    • Design, plan, and implement medical education programs aligned to the Asset Plan for healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • In collaboration with TAs, design, plan and implement medical education programs for internal medical teams.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of educational content.
    • Maintains training schedule (train the trainer, congress onsite training, booth training etc) with coordinated awareness to LOC partners in a timely manner.
    • Partnering with Medical Communication colleagues for assigned assets, exploring innovative and interactive educational opportunities, and executing on educational symposia at congresses as needed.
    • Maintain Learning Hub pages with quality content and all training posted in a timely manner, including delivery of MSL assessment and case studies.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Contribute to the development of the overall medical education strategy in partnership with the TAs, aligning it with GSK strategic priorities.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, medical guidelines, and regulatory requirements to enhance the effectiveness of educational programs.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with medical affairs brand teams, publications, congress, marketing, and MSL teams to integrate educational initiatives into broader brand strategies.
    • Provide medical education support for internal medical education programs, ensuring that the medical teams are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge.
    • Accountable for providing support for Medical Communications department training as needed.

    EE Engagement:

    • In collaboration with the TAs, identify and engage EEs and subject matter experts to enhance the credibility and quality of medical education programs.

    Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

    • Ensure that all medical education activities comply with relevant regulations, GSK code, industry guidelines, and ethical standards.
    • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to obtain necessary approvals for educational programs.

    Evaluation and Reporting:

    • Acts as the lead for management monitoring for the Medical Communications department across GSK-led, IME and medical copy approval done by the global medical TA team.
    • Implement metrics and evaluation tools to assess the impact and effectiveness of medical education initiatives and programs.
    • Responsible for the tracking of all medical education metrics driven by Global Medical Communications and global attendance tracking for GSK-led events. Makes recommendations for continuous improvement.

    Basic Qualifications & Skills:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

    • Bachelor’s degree in science, medicine or pharmacy.
    • Significant and varied experience working in either a pharmaceutical company or communication company (focusing on medical).
    • Strong experience of medical education and training.
    • Experience of standards in MSL training, and of different educational modalities (e.g. company led, US CME and ex-US IME).
    • Comprehensive understanding of copy approval requirements in both a theoretical and practical setting/ABPI framework
    • Track record of working in successful cross functional teams using strong interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical, logical thought process with proven track record of strong matrix management, facilitation, and project management skills.
    • Solid Technical capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams.
    • Ability to interpret, analyse, organise and present complex data.
    • Effective time management, ability to clearly identify priorities and manage multiple tasks.

    Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

    Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

    • Postgraduate degree (PhD, PharmD or MD).
    • Disease experience or related area. 
    • Local, Regional or Global experience working in medical affairs or R&D.
    • Familiarity with existing GSK platforms (e.g. Content Lab, Team Site, Workday, MS Teams and GSK intranet).
    • ABPI / GSK code certified.
