The Education Technology Specialist will be responsible for integrating technology into educational settings to enhance teaching and learning experiences. They will collaborate with educators, administrators, and technology staff to identify needs, develop strategies, and implement solutions that leverage educational technology tools and resources effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary job duties and responsibilities:
- Technology Integration: Work closely with educators to identify opportunities to integrate technology into curriculum and instructional practices. Assist Schools with the integration of multiple tools to ensure the most efficient and effective strategic systems are developed and managed at the school level.
- Professional Development: Design and deliver professional development sessions to support educators in effectively using educational technology tools and resources. Work with an appointed tech leader at each school to provide guidance and support for tech tools and systems.
- Resource Management: Evaluate, recommend, and implement educational technology tools, platforms, and resources to support teaching and learning goals. Assist academic team with the management and selection of settings in the Google Suite to maximize accessibility, and efficiency.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support to educators and students in using educational technology tools, troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical problems.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data on technology usage and effectiveness to inform decision-making and improve educational outcomes. Evaluate existing data systems, develop new data collection systems and analyze data for use in grants and management decisions.
- Curriculum Alignment: Collaborate with curriculum developers and instructional designers to ensure educational technology tools align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- Technology Policies and Procedures: Develop and communicate technology policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology resources including AI.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and communication among educators, administrators, and technology staff to promote the effective use of educational technology across the organization.
- Research and Innovation: Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in educational technology, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Professional Growth: Continuously develop knowledge and skills in educational technology through professional development, training, and self-directed learning.
- Technology Management: Assist with the management of the School’s and Oakmont’s network, devices and software.
- Administrative: Directs and oversees the administration of educational technology and information services; assures efficient Network wide operation at all sites and in all departments.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Necessary and desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Independent school experience preferred
- Expertise in Chrome OS, Windows and G Suite for Education
- Exceptional project management and execution skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team

Education Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience Preferred:
- Three to five years of related experience in education, with 3 years in the classroom preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Working Conditions
This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment. The employee may be required to deal with students with behavioral risks.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
