    Job Title: School Operations Specialist

    Type: Full-Time

    Compensation: $70,000-$85,000

    Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

     

    Location: Primarily remote with travel to client school sites occasionally and team meetings six to eight times per year (approx. 5-10%).  Residence in or near Fort Collins or Denver is preferred.

    Job Overview:

     

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Operations Specialist to support our growing network of independent charter schools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, vendor management, accounts payable and receivable, budget tracking, and file management.  This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. We are a small organization that is growing quickly, and we want to find the right person to grow with us.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide support to the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Human Resources in all aspects of the business and HR functions for our independent charter schools.
     
    • Maintain time off tracking systems, ensuring that employee leave requests are accurately recorded and approved.
     
    • Support the HR functions by assisting with employee onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining personnel files.
     
    • Serve as bookkeeper for school sites without a business manager with assistance from a School Finance Specialist.
     
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that all invoices are paid promptly and accurately and that payments are received and recorded correctly.
     
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budget in tandem with a School Finance Specialist.
     
    • Monitor expenses and revenue at the school site to ensure alignment with approved budgets and financial goals.
     
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer to support the efficient and effective functioning of our client schools.

    • You have 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a educational or non-profit organization

    • You have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
     
    • You are proficient in Google Suite and Quickbooks Online; or able to pick up new programs and processes quickly
     
    • You are committed to the mission and values of our client charter schools, with a passion for education and community development
