Electric/Electronics Technician constructs, maintains, and tests electrical systems and components. Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts. Being an Electric/Electronics Technician ensures systems and components meet established specifications. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Electric/Electronics Technician typically reports to a supervisor. The Electric/Electronics Technician works under moderate supervision. The technician fabricates and tests optical fiber equipment. Provides support to production by troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical issues. Assists R&D with the fabrication/Test of new products within Vytran Business Unit. Works under the direction of Production Manager. Although the location of the position is in Morganville, NJ, from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other ThorLabs locations.

Physical Activities:
The employees must grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small. As a result, they should have a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
