Position Title: Electric Motor Winder

Location: Lexington, KY

Pay Range: $24-$30/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the rewinding of electromechanical equipment, including AC motors, DC fields, armatures, and wound rotors, while maintaining strict adherence to insulating techniques and specifications.
• Disassemble and inspect damaged equipment, utilizing media blasting techniques when necessary, to identify winding failures and electrical malfunctions.
• Record and document relevant data on equipment characteristics, operational conditions, and any existing damage.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding, meticulously inspecting renewed components for structural integrity.
• Demonstrate proficiency in stripping stators and apparatus without compromising the core or iron.
• Conduct thorough testing of rewound equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards, meticulously documenting test results.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
• Proficiency in winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles.
• Ability to comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Aptitude for learning and implementing various job-related procedures and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making abilities within established standards.
• Competence in operating machinery and hoists.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Capacity to sustain extended periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
