Electrical Construction Project Manager
Overview
Arcon Electric is currently looking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various construction projects from start to finish. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
Arcon Electric is a reputable provider of quality electrical services with being in business for over 40 years. Primarily offering its services to new construction commercial properties. The business services the Pensacola, Okaloosa, and Panama City Beach areas.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise projects from initiation to completion, including working with the estimator on project proposals.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking and approving work orders, invoices, time sheets and making adjustments as necessary.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maintain Communication with Assistant Project Manager and Field supervisors.
- The above responsibilities would require the project manager to be in the office over 70% of the time.
Qualifications
- 5 years of project management experience related to electric industry practices, and philosophies.
- An extensive knowledge of reading electrical drawings and blueprints. Have the ability to decipher drawings and execute effectively what has been designed.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines. OSHA 30 preferred.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
- Required working knowledge of the NEC and Building Codes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times), respirator when required. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work is a part (more than 10%) of the job.
