American Welding & Gas is seeking an experienced Division of Safety Specialistin our Beaumont, TX location.
AIM OF JOB
Responsible for supporting field operations with maintaining companywide safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
within the division.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote AWG safety culture within the division following company safety guidelines
Assist locations in training managers, supervisors, and personnel on company procedures
Assist locations with compliance regarding company and regulatory requirements
Conduct employee job observations, facility hazard reviews, and facility compliance reviews
Evaluate and coach commercial drivers by performing driver ride along
Develop and lead risk mitigation plans
Lead incident/accident investigations
Monitor and track return to work status of work related injuries
Develop and implement preventative and corrective action plans
Support the Safety and Regulatory Compliance Team
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned within the physical constraints of the job
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
Knowledge of industry regulations including OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, ISO, etc.
Prior experience implementing behavior safety programs
Industrial/Medical/Specialty/Bulk gases experience preferred
Proven ability to work effectively under deadlines with little supervision
Strong interpersonal and organizational and skills
Effective verbal communication and team building skills
Conflict resolution
Ability to influence others
Goal oriented and self‐motivated
Computer skills
