Position Description
As Superintendent, you will be accountable for providing effective direction and coordination for the assigned plant through a group of first-line Production Supervisors. The plants have operations ranging from non-skilled, semi-skilled, and skilled production employees. You will guide and advise production supervisors in interpretation of plant and company policies and procedures. You will take appropriate action to maximize production yields, plan for future capacity, and maintain flexibility in the production operations needed due to the variances. You will also have responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing resolutions.
Position Requirements- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in leadership in manufacturing (plus if in food). Candidates with more extensive experience without a degree will also be considered.
- Strong leadership background and show progressive movement in previous positions.
- Military background will be considered if transitioned from service into a more senior role and don’t have the progressive history in the industry.
