    CONSTRUCTION SERVICES SUPERVISOR


    THE POSITION:

    Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Construction Services Supervisor will be the contact point for all team members ensuring proactive team operations and effective collaboration. The Construction Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of the Construction Service Department, ensuring exceptional member service throughout the construction process. The role involves organizing district support for storm restoration, collaborating, and managing construction-related records and items. The role also includes supporting Energy Solutions initiatives, generating service orders, and participating in Lean Process Projects.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide exceptional member service, serving as a point of contact for construction process inquiries. If member concerns arise, provide professional resolution.
    • Organize district support for storm restoration and maintain accurate records of construction activities.
    • Collaborate with Line Design Technicians for work order setup and throughout the construction process.
    • Manage Construction Service Department, ensuring efficiency and member satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with team members on processes and procedures, striving for communication efficiency.
    • Mentor, develop and provide feedback for reporting staff.
    • Collaborate with other departments for process improvements and support.
    • Maintain accurate material records and support the Energy Solutions Department.
    • Provide monthly and year-end construction work order stats and line patrol stats.
    • Respond to member inquiries, assist with payments, and support the Operations Department.
    • Collaborate on Solar initiatives/installations and EV charger work orders.
    • Maintain proficiency in various systems, including ABS, CIS, Mapwise, and E-Bill.
    • Support Cooperative guidelines and recommend revisions as needed.
    • Handle diverse tasks, resolve member complaints, and participate in Lean Process Projects.
    • Monitor work orders, collaborate with Key Accounts Representatives, and generate System Improvement Service Orders.
    • Support the strategic goals of NHEC by assisting in the process of achieving Balanced Scorecard objectives.
    • Support the cultural goals of NHEC by exhibiting self-leadership, developing and maintaining effective working relationships, having a results orientation, being innovative and seeking feedback; work collaboratively across all divisions within NHEC in order to ensure NHEC’s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values are being achieved.
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

    THE PERSON:

    • High school diploma or equivalent requires. Associate degree in business, computer science or related field is preferred as well as five years of related utility experience or 6 years of equivalent experience in lieu of associates degree.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable about NISC systems.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Customer service background.
    • Ability to become familiar with NHEC’s Construction Standards, Terms & Conditions, rates, fees and other policies and procedures affecting the member.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Normal office conditions. Normal working hours will be scheduled. Occasional overtime may be required.
    • Assistance with power restoration efforts required. If necessary, during regular business hours employees will be assigned functions to support power restoration and for some employees that may be different from their normal duties. In addition, such assistance may require working nights, weekends and holidays which may involve considerable extra hours. In order to meet this working condition, all employees are required to provide a personal phone number where they may be reached after hours. This number will only be used for internal purposes.

    COMPENSATION:

    NHEC views compensation in a holistic and transparent manner. The salary range for this role is targeted at $80,000 - $90,000.
