  • The Supervisor/SAP/Applications provides high-level technical support and direction for all aspects of the SAP Business Suite as they relate to business processes and infrastructure development. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of business and infrastructure change programs for all SAP system landscapes; which includes gathering requirements, technical research, backend and frontend development, quality assurance, deployment, maintenance and support for all components of the SAP system landscape as well as integration with non-SAP applications. This position guides the implementation of SAP Products through effective utilization of internal and external IT resources and leads ad-hoc work teams comprised of subject matter experts, developers and other business team members at various levels in the organization to ensure deliverables and business requirements are met through defined best programming standards and conventions and support the Company's short and long-term strategic roadmap.

    This position will focus on supervising Device Management such as: SAP Device Management, Service Order and Notification Processes. We will be seeking a qualified candidate who has hands on SAP Device Management functional expertise. The successful candidate should have experience in Device Management areas he or she will supervise.

    The Supervisor/SAP/Applications evaluates the design and effectiveness of technology controls throughout the business cycle to identify challenges and provides guidance on maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of SAP modules and those that interface with other applications to Project Leadership. Supervises and provides performance management to the development team as well as works in close collaboration with business partners, internal and external development teams and other IT staff to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications according to the specifications of the business need. This position actively participates in the development of technical and workflow solutions, analysis of SAP application solutions options, creation of appropriate related documents and the delivery of final solutions to the business utilizing reports, presentations and/or visual aids. Utilized information systems to improve efficiency and make recommendations on new system implementation or necessary upgrades that will best meet customer and Company requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    There are clear precedents and practices which the incumbent uses to determine how this job is performed. This position requires a minimum of six years of SAP functional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities.

    • SAP functional module experience, including the ability to configure the specific SAP modules listed in this job description

    Supervisory experience and SAP certification and/or and a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or Computer Science from an accredited university is preferred.

    POSITION DIMENSIONS

    The incumbent does not have accountability for budgets. Reporting directly to this position are up to ten exempt employees. The incumbent frequently exchanges information with senior management, division management, Information Services support staff, vendors and consultants

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform project analyses and produce concept communication materials utilizing flowcharts, narratives and other documentation including "what if" scenarios to deliver solutions to known problems and needs assessments on user requested enhancements
    • Must have an experience with SAP Device Management, Service orders, SAP Meter Connection and Re-Connection process.
    • Good understanding of SAP Gas Procedure, VCF calculation and degree day mapping in SAP.
    • Must have an experience with SAP MRO Process, SAP BPEM creation and Meter installation and removal process in SAP.
    • Must have good knowledge of ISU technical master data, business master data, and hands-on SAP Meter to Cash functional expertise
    • Triage and troubleshoot incidents, identify and propose the solution or workaround and open/monitor vendor tickets as applicable. Perform root cause analysis on problems
    • Prioritize changes and communicate status to the business
    • Identify improvement opportunities related to SAP
    • Evaluate current business processes to identify areas of improvement or system inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions that increase customer satisfaction and align with business strategy requirements
    • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results
    • Establish and maintain liaison relationship with third party vendors to provide effective technical solutions, develop a thorough understanding of vendor SLA's and communicate any concerns or issues to management
    • Lead configuration of SAP functional modules and other related meter to cash and customer self service applications and maintain configuration rationale documentation
    • Ensure compliance with Company change management processes when moving configurations into production
    • Participate and consult on the operation of SOX business controls and General Computing Controls related to SAP functional modules supported
    • Authorize use of SAP GRC firefighter accounts and analyze/approve related output after use.
    • Own and authorize use of user access roles for SAP and other meter to cash and self service related applications
    • Establish and maintain liaison relationship with business partners and IT organization to align support efforts to meet business needs
    • Manage or conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements
    • Contribute and provide direction for short and long-term planning sessions and provide feedback to ensure understanding of business goals and strategy
    • Oversee comprehensive system testing of enhancements, patches and configuration changes. Includes development of test plans and test scripts, as well as partnering with developers during integrated unit testing and the resolution of any issues or defects encountered
    • Develop and monitor productivity tools and key performance indicators across multiple delivery methods for multiple audiences
    • Develop and/or review scripts and queries for analysis and troubleshoot data issues
    • Act as a liaison between the developers and the business to support development of reports and reporting tools
    • Manage or coordinate tests with third-party service providers
    • Understand the Company's core business and functions as related to the support of SAP modules
    • Ensure customer satisfaction related to application performance and end-user experience and collaborate with the technical infrastructure team to troubleshoot and mitigate performance issues as necessary
    • Maintain communication with the user community to keep them well-informed of system updates or enhancements
    • Oversee and facilitate new system integration through configuration and testing
    • Provide oversight and feedback on department activities/responsibilities including planning, scheduling, staffing, monitoring, traveling and reporting
    • Assess business needs utilizing a structured requirement process (gather, analyze, document and manage changes) to assist in identifying business priorities and provide recommendations on options
    • Develop and/or review and communicate business requirements and functional/technical specifications for the implementation of business solutions; Oversee the maintenance of specifications going forward in Solution Manager
    • Ensure appropriate coordination of resources to support and troubleshoot 24x7 SAP core batch process job failures
    • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

    SALARY DETAILS

    $108,818 - $163,228
