Warehouse Supervisor

Description
Oversee select warehouse operations, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. Supervise and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory assembly and movement. Align daily operations to the distribution network strategy to meet customer expectations in a cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise, train, and directly assist, where needed, warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, late-stage assembly, loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, packaging, and shipping, as well as inventory control.
· Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
· Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system.
· Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.
· Support a Lean Operations program for all warehouse activities.
· Integrate Warehouse Automation in operations; planning, installing, training, and supporting team members.
· Lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are followed by staff in their daily work.
· Measure, report and manage Key Performance Indicators and operational metrics.
o Address performance gaps as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervises supervisory and non-supervisory employee(s).
o Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
o Working with Human Resources on employee issues.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
· Effective communication, people skills, leadership, and conflict resolution.
· Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods.
· Critical thinking ability and an initiative-taking approach to problem solving.
· Able to operate warehouse equipment, including automated technology.
· Bilingual skills are helpful, but not required.
Education and Experience
· 4 years of combined management experience in Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics.
· Demonstrated track record of successfully managing a team of warehouse employees.
· Experience with inventory control, inventory reconciliation, and cycle counting.
· Experience in Lean Management principles.
· Associate degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (required)
Computer Skills
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, Oracle E1, Power BI and miscellaneous data base tools

• First Aid
