Electric and Gas Operations Supervisor supervises work crews involved in construction, maintenance, and repair of electric and/or gas distribution systems. Monitors and inspects sites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Being an Electric and Gas Operations Supervisor ensures all work is completed according to safety policies and procedures. Requires an associate degree in the related area. Additionally, Electric and Gas Operations Supervisor has full authority and may be considered lower middle management. Typically reports to a manager or a head of a unit/department. The Electric and Gas Operations Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Electric and Gas Operations Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
