    What you will do

    Reports to GCOE Division Operations Manager; responsible for providing direction for elements of JCI sales support assigned to their group, including the project planning, design, estimation, and documentation of JCI projects. Maintains engineering integrity of all projects, ensures quality, technical, administrative, and financial requirements are met. Monitors, assesses, records and reports status, issues, risks and activities in process to meet scheduled sales, deployment and project objectives. Works with other Division Operations Manager and leadership to ensure timely and accurate completion of all Center of Excellence CoE related functions.

    • Act as a technical advisor and client-facing voice during the sales process, working closely with prospects, customers, and the sales team. Partner with internal departments and Sales, Operations, and Service Managers within their line of business for the region
    • Attend customer-facing calls, aid in alignment of resources for demo presentations, and assist sales with code-related questions.
    • Analyze and qualify sales pipeline, assist in the development of sales strategies, and utilize the GCOE to differentiate JCI from competitors.
    • Drive GCOE delivery of results, assist with aligning FDEs in cross sales, and own KPIs and metrics for their line of business.
    • Manage pre-sales support team, workload forecast, and resource allocation.
    • Provide technical support to sales team, work with suppliers and procurement team, and ensure consistency of field installation delivery.
    • Establish and maintain a high level of quality design functionality, track KPis, and ensure GCoE team capabilities match sales initiatives and goals.


    How you will do it

    • Manages the activities of the Applications Engineering team responsible for the timely and profitable design and pricing of JCI sales estimates.
    • Supervises direct reports who assist office management functions, and temporary employees.
    • Directly responsible for measuring and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI'S), and Annual Employee Performance Reviews and Documentation.
    • Provide guidance to designated employees in performance improvement and development, succession and career planning, disciplinary and corrective actions.
    • Works with JCI Sales Managers, SSO's, AHJ's, Consultants, and Architects to meet accurate design goals.
    • Complements sales force by developing value added engineering designs to varied applications of systems.
    • Ensures consistency of field installation delivery through design plans and other documents as required.
    • Establishes and maintains a high level of quality design functionality to customers for maximum retention.
    • Works with Training Manager to ensure CoE team capabilities and certification levels to match sales initiatives and goals (NICET, Cisco, EST, Software House, etc.).
    • In addition will manage a small level of Sales accounts at local and national level.
    • Hiring and Staffing involvement and support.
    • Other tasks as assigned


    What we look for

    Required

    • Minimum 5 to 7 years progressive management and/or sales management experience in a technical, fast-paced, customer service organization and sales support environment. 5 years of security industry experience preferred.
    • Background should include the ability to successfully handle multiple challenges, prioritize responsibilities and effectively lead a team.
    • Customer service experience; sense of urgency, ability to receive negative and emotion-laden feedback in a professional manner.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and disciplines.
    • Ability to effectively manage and develop subordinates.
    • Ability to effectively manage and motivate team members
    • Ability to budget and perform cost analysis.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
    • Ability to effectively manage and motivate team members.
    • Financial and Revenue Management skills, focusing on meeting and exceeding financial targets.
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Windows applications, JCI Admin Tools, and web based tools, including SalesForce.com and Smartsheet.
    • Ability to fly/drive to customer premises (less than 25%)
    • Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, sensitive to cultural and global diversity and adept with senior management to front-line associates. Ability to contribute to a positive work environment that is dynamic and continually changing.


    Preferred

    • Industry specific professional, and or product certifications preferred, but not required.
    • 4-year College Degree in a Business-related field, or equivalent related experience
