U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking an Electrical / Controls Engineer Intern. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting senior engineers with various projects. Interns will be tasked with project management projects in which they will conceptualize, design, draw, converse with vendors for pricing and manage implementation of designs. Some projects will include data collection and monitoring to improve productivity to existing machines; infrastructure investigation and drawing updates for gas piping, industrial water piping, city water piping and fire system. May also include plan for marking of lines and valves and educating plant personnel on facilities infrastructure. This internship can lead to a full-time at will employment opportunity as US Pipe.
