As an Electrical Designer at Entek, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of electrical panel design within our electrical design team to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions. Having the ability to design to UL standards using AutoCAD Electrical will be a driving factor in your success in this role. In addition to assembly of drawing creation, BOM creation, manuals, and completing print packages, the following responsibilities will play an essential role in the daily duties required.
Responsibilities:

• Discuss projects with Supervisors, Sales, Mechanical and Controls Engineers to review functions of machines and equipment
• Review and understand P&ID’s
• Review functional specifications
• Calculate loads and size components accordingly
• Update drawings from redlines
• Design electrical panels to UL and/or CE requirements
• Create interconnect drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
• Create accurate bills of materials for required components
• Assemble shop drawing packages
• Create drawing packages that will be used for constructing panels and equipment installations
• Follow and promote ENTEK company core values

Required Experience:

Minimum Qualifications & Experience: *

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate across organizational and cultural boundaries
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse teams within an organization
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Associates degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or similarly relevant discipline
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical
• Experience in design and detail panels to UL standards
