    Responsibilities

    Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional electrical engineer

    Provide CAD support utilizing AutoCAD and Microstation for electrical system design for movable bridges and transportation structures

    Support the electrical department with design concepts and calculations for power distribution systems, industrial control systems, lighting, etc.

    Perform field inspections of electrical systems

    Write inspection reports to document system condition with repair recommendations

    Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems

    Requirements

    BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

    Zero to two years of electrical engineering experience

    Knowledge and interest in industrial controls, power distribution, and lighting

    Experience with the electrical construction industry (residential, commercial building, lighting, etc.) (preferred)

    Hands-on experience (preferred)

    Excellent technical writing skills and attention to detail

    Experience with CAD to develop engineering drawings, AutoCAD or Microstation (preferred)
