Role Overview:
Joining LCEC as an Electrical System Engineer means you'll be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency of our electrical distribution network. We're looking for a detail-oriented individual with analytical prowess and a dedication to making a positive impact on the community.
Primary Responsibilities:
In this capacity, your duties will include:
- Evaluate the electrical distribution network and formulate maintenance and construction strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess load distribution, potential short circuits, and relay configurations to refine the distribution system.
- Identify and plan for anticipated system upgrades to support business growth.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous
- Competence in electronic spreadsheets, word processing, and database tools
- Robust mathematical aptitude
- Familiarity with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories products or equivalent equipment (preferred)
- A valid New Mexico driver's license
- Understanding of NERC, FERC, and SPP regulations (a plus)
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication capabilities
Work Schedule:
The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Schedule flexibility may be required.
