    Description

    Electrical Components International (ECI) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Fargo, ND. This is an on-site position.

    Qualified candidates must have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or similar education.
    • Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role (5 Years Preferred).
    • Experience in the harness fabrication process (Preferred).
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.

    About the Position:

    ECI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Fargo, ND. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing manufacturing systems, equipment, and processes.  Other activities will include managing junior personnel, quality control, and overall monitoring of the production process.

    Duties Include:

    • Collaborates with process sheet engineering and production to resolve issues/concerns.
    • Collaborates with quality department to resolve manufacturing issues.
    • Collaborates with IT on engineering-related needs.
    • Successfully plans, manages, and executes projects from start to finish.
    • Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
    • Study production and machine requirements.
    • Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
    • Design and install equipment.
    • Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
    • Integrate disparate systems (e.g. equipment handling, transport).
    • Spearhead special projects as needed.
    • Analyze project performance, manage resources, lead project teams, and report progress and results.
    • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network performance.
    • Resolve issues and delays in production.
    • Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality.
    • Train staff in new and existing processes.
    • Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
    • Upgrade systems and processes with new technology.

    Qualifications


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or similar education.
    • Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role (5 Years Preferred).
    • Experience in the harness fabrication process (Preferred).
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
    • Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
    • Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office).
    • Project management skills.
    • Communication skills with customers, managers, and high-level executives.
    • Problem-solving ability.
    • Teamwork skills.
