Moorhead Public Service (MPS) is accepting applications for an Electrical Engineering Manager. Under limited supervision, this position has the overall responsibility to plan, organize, and direct assigned resources and consultants of Moorhead Public Service’s (MPS’) electric engineering and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) functions. This position develops, revises, interprets, and enforces practices, procedures, and standards for engineering to ensure compliance with regulations intended to maintain a safe and reliable electric system and protect MPS’ investment in plant property.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering;
seven years of electrical engineering experience at a power utility, including experience in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation design and maintenance; certified as a Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota or able to obtain Minnesota certification; and a driver’s license valid in the state of Minnesota.
Desired qualifications include a Master’s degree in electrical engineering and ten years of electrical engineering experience at a power utility, including experience in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation design and maintenance.
The 2024 salary range for this position is between $127,530 and $196,823 annually. The starting salary will be dependent upon experience and education. Excellent health insurance and benefits package.
