  • Summary

    Finished product inventory technicians are responsible for creating and maintaining an accurate count of all finished product inventory stored in the finished product vault. In addition to regular audits of the finished products and packaging materials, finished product inventory technicians are responsible for picking and packing orders for delivery to dispensaries in the state. Responsibilities of this role include: 

     

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Verify accurate counts of finished product inventory that is brought into the vault by the packaging team on the vault intake sheet.
    • Perform weekly audits of the finished product vault to ensure that accurate totals of all finished products for sale are accurate and up to date.
    • Pick and pack orders for shipment based on invoices generated by LeafTrade
      • Verify items based on LotID, Metrc tag number, item description
      • Verify quantities based on invoice totals
      • Inspect packaging to ensure it is free of defects and is properly labeled
      • Inspect packaging labels to verify the information printed is correct i.e. expiration date, lab results, LotID, item name
      • Package items in properly labeled boxes for delivery using bubble wrap to ensure items are transported safely
    • Perform a second check of orders placed for delivery against the delivery manifest generated by Metrc, this step will be performed by a different technician than the first.
      • Verify each line item on the manifest matches the total weight of the items being shipped
      • Print delivery labels for each line item on the manifest, and for each box of the delivery
      • Ensure the Metrc tag associated with each line item is packed with the items for delivery
    • Perform a third check of items packed for delivery against both the LeafTrade invoice and the Metrc manifest, this step will be performed by a different technician than the first or second.
      • Verify item counts based on the information provided by the invoice and manifest
      • Verify that the appropriate Metrc tags are packed with the items
      • Once everything has been verified, the box can be sealed and labeled that it has been inspected
      • Sealed, inspected boxes can then be placed into a plastic tote that will be loaded into the van for delivery on the assigned day.

     

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in medical cannabis industry is desirable, but not required.
    • Ability to prioritize safety practices and follow standard operating procedures.
    • Ability to take direction and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Conduct oneself in a professional manner.
    • Communicate fluently in English (verbal and written).
    • Must be able to work 10 hour shifts
    • Ability to maintain product accurately and efficiently.
    • Ability to communicate with other staff and associates in all situations.
    • Ability to adhere to the highest customer service with staff and the public at all times.
    • Ability to perceive and meet the needs of team members and management.
    • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.
    • Punctual, professional, and able to communicate clearly with your managers and other staff.
    • High level of efficiency, patience, and flexibility.
    • Must be 21 years old and pass a criminal background check.
    • The ability to identify cannabis varieties using visual and olfactory senses is highly desirable.

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and push/pull up to 100 pounds also use assistance (multiple people, forklift, dolly, etc.) when lifting/moving over 100 pounds. Frequent holding/grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate manicuring tools other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires adequate vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus.

     

    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed at a busy outdoor and indoor cannabis facility. The outdoor/indoor facility is exposed to the natural elements. Workers should be prepared for fluctuating cold mornings and hot afternoons weather, sun exposure, and allergies. Work may be stressful at times and may include dealing with difficult people and/or law enforcement. Available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events during harvest periods is required.
