Electrical Engineering Supervisor supervises electrical engineers and technicians who design, develop, and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Being an Electrical Engineering Supervisor coordinates projects with other technical teams and vendors to ensure engineering projects are appropriately staffed and milestones are achieved. Monitors project deliverables, timelines, and milestones to increase efficiency, production quality, and volume. Additionally, Electrical Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Electrical Engineering Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Electrical Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     OVERVIEW
    We are looking for an Electrical Designer to work with our Engineering team to carry out specific tasks that are vital to the production, sales, and engineering departments. 
     
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
    1. Design electrical circuits and control systems for new products and product changes.
    2. Use software tools or applications to analyze and create electronic circuits or systems and document in comparison with design criteria.
    3. Gather product information and read design specifications.
    4. Work with customers, engineers and other departments to communicate needs and help with processes throughout the company.
    5. Create Bills of Material so they can be entered into our MRP software system.
    6. Update files and maintain consistency with engineering records and part drawings.
    7. Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders. 
    8. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
    9. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.   
    10. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING: 
    1. 5 years of professional experience in electrical systems design.
    2. A highly organized, efficient, and process improvement mindset and skillset.
    3. A person that shows commitment and engagement through a strong work ethic, initiative, and utilization of abilities.
    4. Someone able and willing to dive in and help solve problems.
    5. Someone willing to work in a heavy industrial environment.
    6. Good research skills and attention to detail.
    7. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    8. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
    9. A multi-tasker who can tackle multiple projects at the same time.
    10. Help the team in the development of conceptual design changes to electrical systems for improved reliability and efficiency.
    11. Provide technical due diligence review and evaluation for the electrical selection process.
    12. Develop strong industry relationships with other peers and organizations to remain current on industry trends and future directions.
    13. Experience with medium voltage electrical equipment.
    14. Experience working in the Power Generation Industry.
    15. Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including NEC, ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, OSHA and UL.
    16. Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    17. Research & Development experience including concept, design, modeling, prototyping, testing, and production support.
    18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    19. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    20. Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks is a must. Other electrical software is a plus.
    21. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
    22. Team player with positive attitude and desire to learn.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Work environment is an office atmosphere. Work environment could also involve some outside
    exposure. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit for long
    periods of time; walk on non-forgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood, and metal; climb stairs;
    balance, climb, stoop, crouch, and crawl; walk on hilly and uneven ground; use hands to handle and
    feel; reach with hands; and communicate with others. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
