JOB SUMMARY:

Modify or create 3D models, detailed design drawings, and specifications for custom electrical enclosures and associated subcomponents with the use of CAD software.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and foster expert client relationships and support.
• Review and analyze specifications, drawings, ideas, and related data to asses factors affecting the design, source, and manufacturability.
• Produces three-dimensional models using CAD software.
• Creates detailed technical documentation, instructions, drawings, and/or specifications on how parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, assembled, modified, or used.
• Collaborates with internal and external customers to modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Supervises and trains or technicians
• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
• Assists in the fabrication or assembly of parts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree in industrial technology required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Two years' pervious experience and/or knowledge pf design and manufacturing processes and highly preferred.
• Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing equipment and methods preferred.
• Familiarity with the following industry standards preferred - NFPA 70, UL 50, UL 50E, UL 508A, NEMA 250, IEC 60529
• Familiarity with the following software preferred - Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Siemens Solid Edge, Dassault Systemes SolidWorks, Epicor ERP

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to work with hand tools and lift up to 50 LBS.
