    Recore Electric is seeking a Protective Relay Technician. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of protective relays in electrical systems. Your role will involve the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of protective relays used in power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. You will work closely with engineers, electricians, and other technicians to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspection: Perform routine inspections of protective relays to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
    • Testing: Conduct various tests on protective relays to verify their proper operation and response under different conditions, including fault conditions.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with protective relays, including false trips, misoperations, and communication failures.
    • Calibration: Calibrate protective relays to ensure they are accurately sensing and responding to electrical abnormalities within specified tolerances.
    • Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks on protective relays to prevent failures and prolong their lifespan.
    • Repair: Repair or replace faulty components within protective relays to restore their functionality.
    • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, maintenance activities, and repairs performed on protective relays.
