Triumph Engineering & Design, Inc. (TED) is currently searching for a talented Electrical Designer in the State of Michigan. The job opening is a full time, permanent position at our office located in Grand Blanc, MI.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: ELECTRICAL DESIGNER
With limited supervision, provide the technical, organizational and communication skills to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for electrical systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Electrical design for multi-family residential facilities and commercial buildings including hotels, shopping centers, restaurants and warehouses
• Power and lighting design
• Load calculations
• Prepare construction documents - drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, fixture schedules, panel schedules and other specific details related to the project
• Communicate and meet with clients
• Coordinate with other necessary design disciplines
• Approval of electrical submittals related to client construction administration
• Job site visits for field verification, measurements
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC)

Other requirements for the position include:

• Associate degree in related field preferred
• Applicable work experience
• Computer-aided drafting experience
• Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit (a plus), and lighting software
