Elevators, Electrical Engineering Technician
The GBS Group has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician. As an Air Systems Electrical Engineering Technician with GBS, you will work both independently and with a team of professional engineers and technicians at MARMC on complex projects related to Naval ship systems platforms. The position will provide system troubleshooting and repair and assessments of equipment. Demonstrated experience with the electrical operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of US Navy Auxiliary equipment to include, but not limited to: Cargo/Weapons Elevators, Aircraft Elevators, Deck Edge Doors, Hanger Bay Divisional Doors, Vertical Package Conveyors, 5-inch Ammunition Strikedown Equipment, CIWS Mount Skipboxes, and other assigned equipment as directed. Additionally, the contractor shall be familiar with elevator, door, and conveyor terminologies. This includes the terms defined and applied in the following: Naval Ships’ Technical Manual (NSTM) Chapters 772, 700, 588, 572, 300, MIL-E-17807, Common Assessment Procedures, Systems Operability Tests, and applicable portions of the General Specifications for Overhaul (GSO). Specialized experience shall be demonstrated in troubleshooting and assessment of US Navy elevator equipment in the official capacity of a SME for either a US Naval Engineering Activity, OEM, or industrial/commercial activity.
