About the Team: The Production Superintendent - Powerline leads and manages production departmental activities for the Powerline project to meet and/or exceed customer and company objectives.

What you can look forward to as a Production Superintendent:

• Actively participate as a strategic member of the ZF management team with a customer-focused approach on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale to ensure continuous improvement in all facets of the business.
• Manage all manufacturing/assembly activities to manufacture and produce quality parts in a cost-efficient manner.
• Plan, select, design, and develop manufacturing methods and processes through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Lead/Direct/Supervise the activities of all exempt personnel and indirect support functions for up to /exceeding 150 personnel.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers to meet common goals.
• Manage the team within our production system, (Safety, ISO, QS, TS, etc.) company policies, and procedures.
• Review and approve employee timecards in Payroll system including vacation, PTO, etc. promptly.
• Track and train production employees for growth and development by ensuring employees are qualified and trained for assigned positions and current-level qualifications.
• Accountable for performance management to include coaching, corrective counseling, and disciplinary actions, submitting employee step progressions, performance reviews, and any other ZF documentation relative to employee’s performance.
• Understand and construct relationships to develop and build teams to meet customer demands and satisfaction, solve internal process issues, and implement and monitor continuous improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate department's operating results in support of plant’s business plan.
• Budget manpower, equipment, capital, and resources necessary to meet customer and company requirements and assure adherence to the approved budget.
• Maintain current certification in PSM, CPR, AED, First Aid, and actively participate as a First Responder.
• Establish department goals with relevant measures and ensure corrective actions are taken for any applicable non-conformances.
• Understand and comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14000 requirements.

Your profile as a Production Superintendent:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or 6 years of progressive experience in a professional position with a strong production interface
• 3 years of experience in project management and/or supervisory function
• Strong computer skills are required - specifically MS Office
• Problem solving skills and proven interpersonal and communication skills
• Expert level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing/operations
• Proven ability to use and train individuals to use production/manufacturing equipment
• Advanced knowledge of plant operations management and lean principles, processes, and techniques
• Ability to prioritize and schedule daily tasks.
