Electrical Utility Trouble Shooter installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical utility equipment. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Electrical Utility Trouble Shooter may be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electrical Utility Trouble Shooter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Duties:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Assist in the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and making necessary repairs
- Applicant would perform other duties as assigned in the water, sewer, streets, garbage, parks and cemetery departments.
Experience:
- Previous experience or education in electrical work is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage systems is a plus
- Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in electrical work
-Water & Sewer Class 1
-Chemical applicators license
