Being an Electrical Utility Trouble Shooter may be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electrical Utility Trouble Shooter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Centerline Utility Services, known for our excellent work standards and unmatched customer service, is currently accepting applications for a Utility Locate Technician. As a Utility Locate Technician you will respond to Dig Safe requests and mark underground utilities for damage prevention.
This is an exciting and fast paced position; you will be provided a company vehicle, iPad and cell phone to complete your daily work. No unpaid commute time; a locate technician starts their day from their home and plans a route out to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency.
Work is deadline based, so work hours may fluctuate and overtime may be required to meet legal and customer requirements.
Job requires being in an after hours on-call rotation, which will necessitate being available some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
A utility locate technician must be detailed oriented, able to work independently, and with minimal supervision.
Have the ability to adapt to changes in a planned work day to accommodate any emergency ticket requests or other issues that arise.
Ability to read and understand GIS utility mapping and use visuals to locate and identify utilities.
Experience in the construction or utility industry is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to safely work in all weather and road conditions. Work is often performed on busy streets or construction sites.

Pay range for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour depending upon experience.
