The City of Coffeyville, Kansas, (pop. 8826) is seeking applications for the position of Trouble Truck Lineman in Electric Distribution. Position duties include but are not limited to: construction, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electric lines (overhead and underground) on a 12.5kv system utilizing rubber gloves; respond to customer power outages and electrical problems, operate all types of equipment needed for maintaining and repairing electrical lines; installation of street/rental lights and pole hardware including transformers, switches, arrestors, fuses and stringing wire while working with others or alone. Must have current journeyman certification, verifiable work history including troubleshooting and a safe working record.   CDL license with air brake rider or ability to obtain is required. Driving record must meet city’s insurance requirements. Passing physical exam including drug test is required.
