Performs Journeyman level work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, appliances and devices in compliance with all regulatory agencies. Assures reliability and safety of electrical systems. Other responsibilities include those of general maintenance (i.e., drywall patching, minor plumbing, equipment maintenance and safety testing). Mentors and coaches facilities staff.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
• Five years of experience in general electrical maintenance
• Hospital facilities or healthcare construction experience, preferred
• Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English
• Basic computer skills
• Current state Journeyman License or state Masters License, required
• Valid state Driver’s License, required

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly

Schedule: M-F; 7AM-3:30PM, 10 hour shift options are availble; On-call requirement: 1 week every 6 weeks.

St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs’ community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit.

It also serves as southern Colorado’s home base for the Flight For Life® Colorado air medical transport service.

$29.68 - $48.52 / hour
