We are currently looking for a super start Electrician Helper to join our team!

To be considered for Electrician Helper with Storm Smart, employees in this class are responsible for performing skilled electrical tasks in accordance with standard electrical trade practices. Duties include working in a team with considerable latitude in determining methods of work while using specialized tools and testing instruments of the electrical trade. For the helper role, we are willing to train employees in trade work, however, employees must have an attitude of adaptability, be willing to work in tight spaces, be comfortable on a ladder, and able to perform the essential physical functions of the position seamlessly.

• Assists in Installs, repairs, and replaces electrical conduit, electrical wire, transformers, switches, electrical panels, fixtures and other electrical equipment for buildings, security, and area lighting.
• Assists in repairing of motors, flasher units, time clocks, relays, switches, control boxes, and fuse boxes.
• Helps locates and corrects power failures and motor trouble on electrically operated machinery, apparatus, and systems.
• Observes established safety practices and procedures applicable to the electrical trade.
• Offers support to lead electricians as instructed.
• Ensures all work is done with a good attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must represent themselves professionally, politely, and kindly under the Storm Smart name with our customers when working on projects in their homes.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

• Experience running residential projects
• Possess knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, industry standards and jobsite safety requirements
• Excellent organizational skills with careful attention to detail and timely follow-through
• High standard of integrity and professionalism

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred 
• 1-2 Years Experience in the Electrical Field preferred but not required.
• Clean valid driver's license free from any infractions for the past 5 years.
