Obligations:

• Conducting electrocardiograms, stress tests, and monitors to interpret heart rhythm
• Interacting with patients and explaining procedures to them to reduce anxiety
• Assisting physicians in related procedures or treatment maintenance
• Providing preliminary test data and reports for physicians
• Ensuring EKG equipment is working correctly and aiding in minor equipment maintenance
• Adhering to all standard safety measures, procedures, and policies
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines, strictly.

Specifications:

• High School diploma or higher. Certification from an accredited EKG Technician program is greatly favored
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with the healthcare and procedures, including respective medical terminologies
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
• Willingness to undergo a background check
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
