Electromechanical Technician fabricates, tests, analyzes, and adjusts precision electromechanical instruments. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Electromechanical Technician may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electromechanical Technician relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Complex Electromechanical Assembly Technician
Shift: 4A (Monday-Thursday)
JOB PURPOSE
Performs a wide variety of complex electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on complete integrated systems. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Performs in process real time failure analysis and evaluates the electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems and/or integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine the cause of failure as well as appropriate actions for immediate correction. Develops methods, processes, procedures and equipment that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failures.
NATURE OF WORK:
To assemble complex electromechanical assemblies..
Large system assembly.
Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
Must be able to work closely with engineers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in related field
Minimum 2 years experience
