Description:
Works as a team member in the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of electronic and electrical systems by performing simple and routine tasks, such as identifying, checking and connecting power and signal cables, replacing defective parts and assemblies, monitoring system operation by following operating and testing procedures for the system and associated equipment.
Education Required:
Technical School diploma with two years work-related experience preferred
Required Skills:
· Proficient experience with cable/ harness assembly
· Strong troubleshooting skills are required.
· Must be able to work in a team environment while completing tasks in an unsupervised and self-directed fashion.
· Some computer skills including basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word in order to document work and read wire lists.
Desired Skills:
· Demonstrate computer skills with Microsoft Office products.
· Familiarity with AC and DC voltage concepts, troubleshooting, and measurement.
· Familiarity with electrical test and calibration equipment such as digital multi-meters
(DMMs) to measure voltage, amperage, impedance, and verify continuity.
· Familiarity with basic test equipment operation, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
· Proficient soldering skills (through-hole, and solder-cup connectors).
· Knowledge in reading electrical schematics and assembly drawings and the ability to assist in updating electrical schematics and assembly drawings when required to document as-built configurations or propose changes.
· Exposure to hi-pot testing or sensors
