Electromechanical Technician fabricates, tests, analyzes, and adjusts precision electromechanical instruments. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Electromechanical Technician may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electromechanical Technician relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Description
- Permanent position for an Electromechanical Test Technician to ensure that assemblies meet electrical and mechanical design specifications.
- Responsible for final testing of each unit prior to shipment.
- Collect, review and submit all quality control documents to engineering.
- Perform incoming tests on all returned units.
- Check quality of all complete units.
- Inform department supervisors of any quality issues.
- Input test results into the system and complete test reports.
- Design and set up test workbooks in Excel
- Attention to detail.
- Basic electrical knowledge including safety requirements.
- Ability to use multimeter and other electrical test equipment.
- Ability to use a square, tape measure, micrometer, wire gauge, hand and power tools.
- Ability to interpret shop drawings and schematics.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Must have general mechanical abilities.
- Must be very organized with excellent document control techniques.
- Positive self-motivated attitude
