    Overview

    Our company is seeking an experienced EDI/Integrations developer to join our team. The EDI developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the design, development, testing and implementation of EDI solutions. Provides software development, programming, configuration and technical support for the company's integration platforms, enterprise systems and solutions, with a primary focus on the integrations between order related data and the existing ERP system. This includes but is not limited to: Middleware, ERP, Software / Data Communications, Reporting, Barcoding Solutions, Databases, EDI, and connected sub-systems.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Design, develop and maintain EDI solutions Utilizing established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Rest APIs, SOAP APIs, Fortra MFT GoAnywhere, SQL Queries, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and Google Workspace, and MS Office.
    • Functional knowledge of EDI process for 850, 855, 856, 810, 846, 997, 860, and 862 documents.
    • Communicate with vendors and customers regarding EDI requirements
    • Analyze vendor and customer EDI requirements
    • Work with cross-functional teams to define application features and functionality enhancements
    • And ensure successful integration of EDI solutions with existing systems
    • Create and maintain EDI maps using various EDI tools
    • Assist in testing and troubleshooting of EDI transactions
    • Setup and maintain EDI communications with trading partners, vendors and customers using EDI communications protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, etc.)
    • Provide support to other teams for EDI-related issues
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in EDI
    • Design, develop, test, and maintain application source code
    • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
    • Provide general programming support as needed
    • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects Monitor performance of software systems and maintain them as needed
    • Write / Create / Modify / Maintain / Support integrations with applicable tools.
    • Support and Maintain EDI systems as needed to communicate with customer and internal ERP systems via mapping and other tools.
    • Ability to Write / Maintain / Troubleshoot / SupportJavaScript. SQL, and SuiteQL queries.
    • Write / Create / Modify / Maintain appropriate documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts.
    • Setup of appropriate testing environments and data modeling.
    • Training of end-users as needed and appropriate.
    • Participate in the team's initiatives to document processes.
    • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
    • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
    • Partner with business end-users on analysis, development and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and Production post go-live support.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
    • At least 3 years of experience in EDI development preferred
    • One to 3 years of development experience in JavaScript and SQL preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of EDI X12 standards and EDI translator tools
    • Experience with EDI mapping, trading partner setup, and EDI communications protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, etc.)
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Understanding of JSON, XML, and protocol buffers
    • Experience with Fortra’s MFT GoAnywhere
    • College Level Mathematical Skills
    • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
