Electronic Data Interchange Specialist analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners. Being an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Additionally, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. Work will be dynamic and often fast paced, requiring significant energy and enthusiasm. This position provides direct support to the Controller, with additional duties supporting the General Manager and the organization. Will work behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they are brought to the GM. Acts as a sounding board for new ideas.
· Enter prior week’s loads into forestry software program and create weekly invoices and vendor payments within the expected timeframe.
· Review dispatch sheets, maintain subcontractor weekly tracking file, and contact subcontractors who do not turn in paperwork.
· Electronically file all weekly mill remittances and matching forestry software statements.
· Maintain electronic files of all subcontractor paperwork and forward any necessary information to other staff members.
· Reconcile customer pay statements weekly.
· Assist in resolving payment discrepancies in an accurate and timely manner.
· Professionally greet and direct all visitors.
· Answer office calls and emails, assess urgency and priority, direct to appropriate personnel.
· Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment and enter into QuickBooks
· Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
