Description
Under the direction of the Director of HIM, maintains the processes for various data submissions to regulatatory agencies such as CMS, Joint Commission, and Office of Statewide Health Planning. Assists with special projects, report generation and data gathering activities for Inpatient and Outpatient services. The HIM Data Specialist will participate in the development and maintenance of operational policies and procedures to insure compliance with State and Federal regulatory requirements. The HIM Data Specialist is able to communicate effectively and demonstrates a positive attitude and customer services skills with physicians, staff, and patients. Is proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstrates advanced computer skills.
