POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an Electronic Specialist with education and experience in electronic fundamentals to work in a fast-paced electronic assembly and laboratory developing, building, and testing custom electronic systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with engineers experienced in electronic design and testing, circuit board design, FPGA development, and software development to migrate capabilities from a lab environment to deliverable custom products.
- Work with electronic engineers to design, build, and test custom electronic solutions.
- Proficiently build and test custom electrical board designs.
- Analyze design risks, anticipate and mitigate risks when possible, and report concerns to supervisor.
- Proficient with electronic schematics and soldering.
- Work efficiently in an environment without the need for regular, direct oversight.
- Experience with soldering 201 size components
- Experience wand/or willingness to work with a pick and place machine for the electronics fabrication
- Requires management and ordering of laboratory supplies, components, tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 2 years’ experience or 4 years related field experience
- Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance. Active clearance is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Experience using electronic production and test equipment such as: soldering station (0201 parts), pick and place machine, and board component test equipment.
