Electronic Data Interchange Specialist jobs in Ohio
Electronic Data Interchange Specialist analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners. Being an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Additionally, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Electronic Data Interchange Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The Payroll Specialist position is a major contributor to the organization in regards to ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the weekly/bi weekly employee payroll. They set up and maintain employee files, process changes, field questions and communicate with all employees. This position also supports key areas of the Human Resources departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain employee database
- Process employee payroll each week
- Payroll reporting
- Answer employee questions as they arise
- Benefit data knowledge
- Manage garnishments, contributions, 401k, flex and other payables
- Assist with training, registration and communication
- Miscellaneous filing projects
- Assist with Performance Review process
- Support the development and maintenance of HRIS Module
- Misc. admin and clerical duties
- Participate in screening interviews
- Must be able to handle high-pressure situations
- Other projects as needed
Preferred Education and Experience:- Associates Degree or some post-secondary education
- Payroll experience – 2-4 years
- Large scale payroll experience a huge plus (1000 employees)
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- ADP payroll platform specifically Time and Attendance
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive attitude and professional behavior
- Previous HR experience a plus
