Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners. Being an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Additionally, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. The Clinical Data Specialist is responsible for gathering necessary patient services data for analysis and reporting using the AIDS Institutes AIRS program, HIV/QUAL system and other database programs relevant to NYS DOH AIDS Institute reporting requirements. The Specialist will work closely with Program Directors and Providers to collect, analyze and present outcome data to the multi-disciplinary team. The Specialist will participate in quality improvement projects and analysis as part of the Quality Improvement team.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in science, social science, mathematics, public health, systems management, IT or related field; OR an Associate's Degree in science, social science, mathematics, public health, systems management, IT or related field and 2 years of experience in related field.
Experience with data entry, quality improvement or data management preferred.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Salary Range:$31,000-$40,000, DOE
