Electronic Data Interchange Specialist analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners. Being an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Additionally, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Electronic Data Interchange Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Qualified candidates must possess a full understanding and working knowledge of the following:
Must have working knowledge of shop math and blue print reading, relay logic systems, circuit breakers, starters, etc. Must be competent in working with Windows based computer programs such as Windows Explorer and RSLogix.
Two years electrical experience in manufacturing industry is required. Wood products field a plus.
Vocational or technical school diploma in electricity/electronic is preferred. Must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma/GED equivalent or 2 years manufacturing, maintenance or related work experience, ability to read and write and pass a drug screen, background check & pre-employment physical.
